Discover the lush cloud forests of Monteverde on a full-day trip from San José. Your journey begins with a scenic drive through the northern highlands, passing mountains, farms, local towns, and glimpses of the Puntarenas Province coast. Along the way, stop at a local fruit stand to see or sample tropical fruits.

Next, head to a viewpoint where white-faced monkeys often congregate for observation. Enjoy a delicious lunch in Monteverde before ascending on the Sky Tram. At the top, spend about 15–20 minutes at an observation deck, soaking in sweeping vistas across Monteverde and Santa Elena, then take the tram back down.
