Your adventure begins early at 9:00 AM at the Samaná Ferry Terminal, where you’ll meet your local guide. Board the ferry for a 45-minute journey across Samaná Bay, one of the most beautiful stretches of water in the Dominican Republic. During the crossing, enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, islands, and coastal fishing villages. Keep your camera ready—you might spot pelicans, frigate birds, or even dolphins along the way.

Upon arriving in Sabana de la Mar, a charming port town on the southern side of the bay, you’ll transfer by comfortable vehicle toward Yanigua Waterfalls, located deep in the lush countryside near Los Haitises National Park. The drive itself is part of the adventure—passing through tropical forests, cacao and coffee plantations, and rural communities that reflect authentic Dominican life.

When you reach Yanigua Waterfalls, the magic begins. This area is a local gem famous for its cascading waters, amber stones embedded in the rocks, and natural clay pools used for centuries for their skin-healing properties. You’ll have plenty of time to swim, relax, or take a natural clay bath while surrounded by the sounds of the jungle and the refreshing mist of the falls.
