This one-day excursion begins with a scenic pickup from your hotel in Puerto Plata region, then a short drive to the site of the waterfalls. After arriving, you’ll embark on a moderate uphill hike through rainforest terrain, crossing natural trails, rock steps and footbridges until you reach the first of the falls.
Once at the top, the fun begins: under the supervision of your guide you’ll descend through a chain of rock-cut waterfalls and natural pools, sliding down rock faces, jumping into deep turquoise pools and swimming between levels of the falls. For those who prefer to skip high jumps, easier walk-around routes are available.
After the waterfall section, you’ll return to the visitor-center, change clothes, and enjoy a local Dominican buffet lunch (with vegetarian options) before being driven back to your accommodation. This fully guided experience offers a thrilling combination of nature, adventure and exploration.
