Then you’ll head into the colonial zone — the heart of the city’s Spanish‑era past — where you’ll explore the Alcázar de Colón, the Cathedral Primada de América, Calle Las Damas and the Museum of the Royal Houses. A lunch break gives you time to savor local Dominican cuisine at a restaurant in the zone. After lunch, you’ll browse through souvenir shops and have free time to soak in the atmosphere of Santo Domingo before your day winds down.
