Your rafting adventure begins early in the morning in Turrialba, where you meet your guides and receive all rafting equipment. After a scenic drive to the river put-in point, your professional guides conduct a detailed safety briefing, showing you the correct paddling techniques and what to expect on the river.

Once on the water, the Pacuare River greets you with its legendary combination of adventure and beauty. You’ll raft through class III–IV rapids, alternating between thrilling white-water and calm stretches where you can take in the lush rainforest scenery. Towering cliffs, tropical plants, exotic birds, and hidden waterfalls create an unforgettable backdrop throughout the entire route.

Midway through the journey, you stop to enjoy a fresh picnic lunch prepared by the guides. Relax by the river, swim, or simply appreciate the incredible natural surroundings before continuing downstream.

The rafting portion lasts about 3.5 to 4 hours, depending on water levels. At the end of the route, you reach the take-out point where you can shower, change clothes, and rest before returning to Turrialba in the afternoon.
